NEW Handwoven Buckwheat Cushions
Combining the beauty of handwoven textiles with the supportive function of buckwheat hulls.
Handcrafted in collaboration with Stitch Buffalo.
Each cushion cover was hand woven on a backstrap loom by Hsar, a refugee woman from Burma who lives in Buffalo, NY. She uses patterns that have been passed down from one generation to the next. Watching and practicing is the only way to learn how to weave using a backstrap loom.
Cushion details
The handwoven cover is handwoven from soft cotton threads. It is removable and machine washable.
Each pillow comes with a buckwheat hull insert made from organic, US grown cotton. It is filled with 4.5 pounds of US grown buckwheat hulls.
